Recognizing our place within a harm reduction industry operating on Treaty lands, Raft is helping to lead EACH+EVERY: Businesses for Harm Reduction, the first business coalition working to end the global drug poisoning crisis that claimed over 100,000 lives in North America in 2020.
In BC and Alberta, First Nations people are 5-7x more likely to die of drug poisoning than non-First Nations people. Our efforts to end this crisis help address TRC Calls to Action 1.ii, 18, 19, 20, 30, 31, 32, 36, 38, 55.iv/v/vii, 84.iii.

We provide our employees with incentives to become educated on Indigenous history through the TRC Reports as well as bystander intervention workshops. These incentives help address TRC Call to Action 92.iii.
We commit to reviewing our progress on TRC Calls to Action every year near June 21 (National Indigenous Peoples Day).
We commit to providing free consultation and testing services to any Indigenous community working to establish a Safe Alcohol program. This helps address TRC Calls to Action 18, 19, 20, 22, and 33.
Our sponsorship of IndigeSTEAM (UCalgary, 2020) was made with a view to TRC Calls to Action 7 and 92.ii.
